Message for LWEC Families, Faculty, and Staff
Lloyd Wood Education Center Families, Faculty, and Staff,
We wanted to reach out to you to provide information about a situation involving one of our employees.
James Cox, an employee of the Tuscaloosa County School System, was arrested at Lloyd Wood Education Center Friday and charged with public intoxication. Because of laws that govern employee privacy, we cannot publicly discuss details of a legal investigation involving an employee. However, it is important for our families and community to know that Mr. Cox is on administrative leave, and TCSS will cooperate fully with law enforcement in their investigation.
While we are limited in what we can discuss about an investigation involving an employee, please reach out to your school administrator if you ever have any questions or concerns to express.
Sincerely,
Keri C. Johnson, Ed.D.
Superintendent
